Tanja Radović is a librarian, playwright and novelist. She holds a degree in Croatian from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
Tanja’s radio adaptations of her own plays, short stories and radio plays have been performed on Croatian Radio.
Her plays have been staged at the Bosnian National Theatre in Zenica and the Croatian National Theatre in Mostar.
Theatre Ivan Goran Kovačić, Zagreb, premiered Tanja’s plays which she starred in or directed.
She won the SFERA award for her play Ledeno doba (The Ice Age) in 2010.
She represented Croatia at the international playwrights festival From Text to Production (Croatian ITI Centre, Motovun, 2001) with her play Gušterica (The little she-lizard).
She published two collections of plays, Iznajmljivanje vremena (Rent-a-Time) (Zagreb, Meandar and SKUD “Ivan Goran Kovačić”, 2001) and Ledeno doba (The Ice Age) (Zagreb, Meandar Media and SKUD “Ivan Goran Kovačić”, 2009), three novels: Pitanje Nade, Rent-a-talent, Oda mladosti and short stories Osporavanje kiše (Zagreb, Meandarmedia, 2015, 2018, 2020, 2023). She published two fairy tales for children - Kako je Dobroslav išao za srcem and Pozdrav Suncu (Zagreb, Sipar, 2023 and 2024).
Her play Entrapped in the Drawing was published in Different Voices, a collection of contemporary Croatian plays in English (selected by Boris Senker, Zagreb, Croatian ITI Centre–UNESCO, 2003). Her plays, short stories and SF stories have been published in various journals and collections.
